KFA Softball specializes in fundamental softball skills development for girls through the medium of individual softball lessons and team clincs.
KFA Softball is Beth Keylon. After a stellar playing career in college as a top of the line pitcher, hitter and third base player, Coach Keylon had a vision to develop, design and implement a second to none softball academy that specialized in teaching young girls the fundamentals of the game of softball. Using her experiences as a upper echelon player in little league baseball, summer softball, high school softball and finally college, she took her well schooled understanding of the mechanics of movement to teach girls in a very enthusiastic, safe and correct way of movement.
She correctly teaches the nuances of pitching, hitting, fielding, position defense and team offense/defense. KFA softball under her teaching enhances each and their learning curve and provides the very best opportunity for each to earn a collegiate softball scholarship. Indeed, well over 500 students can attest to this phenomena.
Finally, academy participants can be assured they are being taught by someone who knows how to coach. Beth Keylon as the current head coach at East Carolina University has coached in the SEC, Ohio Valley Conference, Southern Conference and has commandeered the only team in the state of Tennessee to win a national championship.
Beth Keylon & KFA Softball has enlisted the services of Steve Jaecks who instructs hitting, catching and positional play. Coach Jaecks is a 30 year veteran of fastpitch softball and is an acknowledged expert in the area of human motor development and psychology and sociology of sport. As a university professor in these disciplines, Jaecks also taught students how to teach at the collegiate level.
