Labor Leaders is a 501(c)3 non-profit whose mission is to educate youth on the proper use of tools through hands on training with experienced laborers.
Labor leaders will educate youth about safe work practice, proper body mechanics when lifting,and environmental safety while working.
How to trouble shoot broken down machines such as lawn mowers, weed wackers, and chainsaws, etc. Labor leaders will guide youth through the summer and have a regular route of lawns to mow and maintain. Labor Leaders will organize larger group work efforts such as fruit harvesting, or berry picking. Labor leaders will work with youth in small groups most often, and start with a basic hand tools knowledge and care. Youth will be required to study up on Power tools and pass written exams that test proper tool function BEFORE operation is allowed.
Labor Leaders is dedicated to education of youth through real world, hands on experience. We believe by building lasting connections with youth in the work environment we are better able to guide or lead the way for these youths future endeavors.
