Lafayette/West Lafayette Branch NAACP #3056 - (765) 464-2085

Founded in 1909, the NAACP is the nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization.

The local branch has worked as advocates to assist clients while continuing to promote membership growth. It has also hosted guest speakers who are experts in the areas of law enforcement, housing, child welfare and university athletics. As a local branch the NAACP has developed bipartisan relationships that maintain strength of purpose to educate all citizens of laws protecting their civil rights. We are an organization for all people with a mission that has continued the good fight of ensuring the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination.

Founded February 12, 1909, the NAACP is celebrating 104 years as the nation’s oldest largest and most widely recognized grassroots-based civil rights organization. It’s more than half-million members and supporters throughout the United States and the world are the premier advocates for civil rights in their communities, conducting voter mobilization and monitoring equal opportunity in the public and private sectors.
