Uncle Ed's Restaurant

Uncle Ed's was Located on Rosevale Ave in Lake Ronkonkoma. It was the first Restaurant to serve Pizza for miles around. My grandfather brought a pizza man out from NY City to make the pizza around 1938. After the fire at the Normandy my grandfather had nothing left to start a new business. He served his customers Pizza on milk creates. One Sunday morning he was at a local bakery on Hawkins ave to buy donuts. He realized that a pizza could be put into a box. So he contacted the box guy and asked him to make a box that could fit a pizza. And that was the beginning of the pizza box. The Restaurant was there until about 1970.
