In his introduction to the exhibition catalog, juror Peter Frank writes: "Artists carry within them seeds of their specific cultures. If we could define what the role of the artist is, we might say it is to plant the seeds of his or her culture in the soil of other civilizations... It starts with roots, it ends with roots,
in between it is art."

For many of the participating artists, it was as if they were encountering their own personal history for the very first time.

Juror Peter Frank and exhibition curators intend that it be the same for those from West Hollywood and surrounding communities who attend the show during its nearly three month stay.

In addition to the exhibition, public offerings will include educational discussions and art tours led by Peter Frank, bridging different generations collage workshops, music, poetry and a celebration of International Women's Day. A closing art reception is planned in collaboration with the Survivor Mitzvah Foundation and will be part of Holocaust Remembrance Day Events on April 27.
