For Custom Longarm Quilt Services
Here's what you can expect from me…
A creative, all-over quilting design that compliments the quilt top. It may have some detail quilting, but I am not promising more than free-motion design. I take a deep breath and begin quilting with great care of the beautiful and time-consuming workmanship involved in your piecing. Some of the styles that I quilt proficiently include, general meandering, loops & hearts, leaves with vines& curling tendrils, swirling pattern, ripply water/sand, stars with loops, oriental flowers, Mod flowers with echo and more. I learn more all the time, (working on free form feathers now) so if you have an idea, just ask. I will select (with your help)a coordinating thread, preferring top and bottom threads being the same color.
This is what I need from you...
Top: Check for open seams, pressed, threads trimmed from back and squared.
Measure across each of 4 sides and then across the middle both directions. If quilt is more than 1/4—1/2 difference from corresponding sides then I can usually quilt in the fullness, but over an inch then the more chance of wrinkles quilted in.
Hint: Never cut borders until you’ve measured your quilt. Cut your borders to fit your quilt, and don’t ease in fullness of borders if more than 1/4 inch difference.
Back: At least 6” longer and wider than top (3” all around) Mark center top of back and top if preference of how to load. I put the seams horizontal on my frame, so take that into account when desiring a directional quilt design.
