Lindsey Wilson College offers a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services and a Master's Degree in Counseling and Human Development on the WCC Campus.
Programs:
The Bachelor of Arts in Human Services & Counseling is an interdisciplinary program comprised of course work in psychology, sociology, and social work in combination with broad-based general education courses. Each course is taught by faculty with advanced degrees and experience in the course content area. Practicum experiences will equip the student with the skills to enter a variety of work settings.
The Master of Education in Counseling and Human Development is a broad-based generalist degree that exposes students to a variety of skills in mental health counseling. The program requires a minimum of sixty (60) semester hours. The master of education program meets the academic licensure requirements for Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee and West Virginia.
Each course is taught on a weekend format, classes meet Friday, 4 pm-9 pm, and Saturday 9 am-4 pm. Instructors come to Wytheville Community College, therefore no classes are taught online or via televised format.
