My name is Jessica and I am a mother of 1 energetic and lovable little boy. I am passionate about many things including breastfeeding, gentle and instinctual parenting, and empowering women to take charge of their bodies and their births. I believe birth can be an enjoyable, transcending, life-changing, and empowering experience. I believe birth is a safe physiological event, not a medical emergency. Birth is inherently safe, interference is risky. I chose to become a doula to educate women about their options and aid in making their birth experience a positive event. Trusting a woman's intuition and allowing their choices of where and how to give birth should be encouraged and embraced.
