Horse Farm. Horse Clinics. Overnight Horse Stays.

HORSE ACCOMMODATIONS:
For a nominal fee and appropriate health clearances, horses may bring their humans for an overnight stay on our peaceful farm. A 100-year-old bank barn provides indoor stalls with bedding for up to four horses at $30 per night. We can also accommodate up to 9 horses in Priefert panel 12X12 or 12X24 foot outdoor pens at $20 per night. Two 12x34 outdoor pens have run-in sheds attached. Please specify your preference when making reservations.

Policy Information
Reservations are required.
For safety reasons, check-in must take place before dark. Horses will not be accepted after dark.
Overnight stabling is not offered to horses whose owners wish to camp or stay elsewhere. We do not provide hook-ups for trailers.
Required:
A current (less than one month) health certificate and a negative Coggins (less than six months) are required. These papers must be shown before unloading.
Horse owners are responsible for their mounts and for any damage they may cause. Owners must sign a liability waiver prior to unloading.
Horse owners are responsible for feeding and grooming their horses. They must provide their own grain. Long's Farm will provide hay for purchase upon request.
Horse owners must be on site any time their mounts are in the pasture.
Horses that appear to pose a danger will not be accepted.

OTHER AMENITIES:
Our facility offers a sixty foot round pen with grass footing, a 100x150 foot outdoor arena with superior sand/rubber footing, and a four acre private pasture for guest horses to stretch their travel weary legs. Timothy hay is available for purchase at $8.00 per bale.

There are two little tack shops within six miles of our farm and a Tractor Supply within 15 miles. The Harrisburg Farm Show Complex is 13.6 miles from our farm, approximately an easy 20 minute drive. We are conveniently located two miles off of Route 83, near the Pennsylvania Turnpike I-76, Rte 11/15, and I-81.

While there are no bridle trails from our property, trail riding can be found a half-hour to 45 minutes from Long's Farm. Area public bridle trails include Gettysburg National Battle Field Park, Spring Valley Park, Cumberland County Rails to Trails, Pinchot State Park, and Michaux State Forest Lands. We will be happy to provide you with directions to these trails.
