TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is provided for Veterans to their medical appointments at the VA Medical Facilities in Wade Park & Parma and the Lorain VA Clinic. To schedule a ride please call 440.284.4624.
VA CLAIMS ASSISTANCE
Our Veterans Service Officers are Nationally and State Accredited and are your liaison to the Federal Department of Veterans Affairs. They assist Veterans and eligible dependents in preparing claims for compensation, pension, education and burial benefits.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Temporary financial assistance may be available to Veterans or their widow, who show a need and meet eligibility requirements (based on household income). Assistance may be given for mortgage or rent, property tax, utilities, car payment, car/home/life/medical insurances and food or personal items.
VETERAN ID CARD
You must be a resident of Lorain County, have served on active duty with an honorable or under honorable conditions discharge. Veterans will need their DD214 (discharge papers) and a valid photo id.
