Lybbert Performance Horses is located in whitesboro ,Tx. Specializing in the Reined Cow Horse and also now offering Western Pleasure.
Christian is the youngest of the five Lybbert boys. He has always loved horses and learned at an early age how to understand and work with them. After moving to Texas, he had the opportunity to show in AQHA, NRHA, and NRCHA events as a youth. Honors earned include a reserve AQHYA world championship in working cowhorse at the age of 13.
Other than spending two years doing volunteer missionary service for his church, Christian has always sought to improve his horse-related abilities. After his mission he was able to work for Bob Avila as an assistant trainer. He spent three years learning from a great horseman. He is already applying his expanded abilities on the colts he is breaking and the futurity horses he is preparing.
In 2012, Christian married Danielle, who also shares the same passion and love for horses as he does. In May of 2013 Christian and Danielle decided it was best for them to go out on their own.
2013 has been a very successful year for Christian, after tying at the Nrcha world show in the limited hackamore for champion, he went on to win the limited open derby in Colorado in august. It was also Christians first year to go to the Snaffle Bit Futurity, taking two 3 year olds both making it back to the limited finals and finishing 4th and 8th. After Reno, Christian headed to the AQHA world show, making the finals in a very tough Jr. Working Cowhorse class. He had some tough luck after his horse fell making his 2nd turn down the fence, but was pretty happy ending up 13th in the world.
Christian and Danielle make it their number one priority to keep happy horses and customers. They are so grateful and thankful for having such wonderful customers who really believe in their program and support them.
