Farming, Food, Family and Faith
In the summer of 2012 we decided that the hustle and bustle of big city living was not what we wanted for our family of four. With a big house and small yard in the middle of a “Master Planned” community we felt trapped inside our own home.
With a husband working three jobs to keep up with the Jones’ and a wife doing her best to manage a home and two girls by herself we were missing some important moments in life. Faith hasn’t always been our focus, but thankfully Faith has become paramount within our family.
With the Big Guy leading us we decided to sell the house and look for some land that we could spread out on.
Little did we know that there were big plans for our little place. We have ventured into several homesteading practices that our friends and family from the “Big City” think we have lost our minds.
One of the main reasons we have set up this blog is to share some of the things we have been successful at and along the way some things that we tragically failed at. Or like Thomas Edison would say “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”
