Promoting Sustainable Agriculture through Natural Beekeeping
Established in 2010, Mill Creek Apiaries is a small-scale bee farm in northwestern NJ, producing honey and other bee products on local area farms within Sussex County, NJ and Orange County, NY.
Mill Creek Apiaries practices natural sustainable beekeeping techniques and does not use any harsh chemicals or antibiotics to treat our bees. We implement an integrated pest management system for varroa mite control and utilize essential oils to promote bee health.
Our apiaries (or bee yards) are located on three farms. High Point Farm http://highpointalpacas.com which is a Located on 477 acres of land, the working farm includes a 150 apple and pear orchard, gardens, animal pastures, 15 acres of meadows, 20 acres of streams and preserved wetlands and a 10 acre lake. The remaining acreage is dense forest.
Liberty Farm http://savelibertyfarm.com It is a beautiful old Dairy Farm, with an incredible round roof barn, a converted old carriage house, and a 1790 farmhouse that is under going restoration. There is an apple orchard and numerous fruit and nut bearing trees including 12 acres of sunflowers.
