Dr. Budd grew up as the son of an Army captain and 5th -grade school teacher. He was accepted into Brigham Young University where he completed his undergrad education. While at BYU, he met a pretty young girl from Carson City named Courtney. They were married 8 months later in 2002. Dr. Budd went on to receive his dental degree from university of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. He received numerous awards, including the prestigious Gabbs award for highest professional ethics, and was nominated by the faculty to be the single student chosen to receive the Dean's Award for clinical and academic excellence.
