Minocqua Winter Park - (715) 356-3309

Winter with a kick! A destination for families and athletes, Winter Park offers XC skiing, snowshoeing, snow tubing, ice skating, and winter play.

Minocqua Winter Park is a not-for-profit town park operated by the Lakeland Ski Touring Foundation. Our mission is to provide a quality silent sport experience for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages through the protection and maintenance of our trail system. Located on 6,500 acres of wilderness, Minocqua Winter Park (and Ski Shop) accommodates skiers, snowshoers, snow tubers, ice skaters, and other winter recreators.

Recognized as one of the top cross-country ski areas in the Midwest, Minocqua Winter Park provides a full range of services for the cross-country skier. We host over 75 km of PistenBully-groomed terrain with 65 km groomed for both skating and striding and 10 km groomed for striding only. We also groom old-school single-track on our 15km Wilderness Trails network. A breadth of expertly designed and maintained trails await beginners and experts alike. Ski-joring is allowed on a designated 6 km loop daily, except for a select few crowded days. (Bring your own dog and equipment.)

A few feet off Nepco's Cruise on the Cookie Loop, skiers and snowshoers can visit the Tea House for hot tea and cocoa, open most weekends plus daily around the holidays.

Over 16km of dedicated snowshoe trails wind through our park. Enjoy our dense forests, expansive wetlands, scenic overlooks, and myriad vistas.

Chip Wulff Memorial Ice Pond is an enchanting place for kids to play, with 35 pairs of ice skates available for free rental. Your generous donations allow for free use of the pond all winter long.

Snow tubing on Squirrel Hill is open weekends for the entire snow season, plus daily around Christmas and New Year's.

Inside our chalet, warm up by our wood pellet stove, fill up your tank at Rick's Hardwax Cafe, rent or upgrade your gear in the Ski Shop, use the free WiFi to brag to your friends about the fun you're having, polish your skis in the wax room, and talk up your winter outdoor adventures to other Winter Park guests.

The Minocqua Winter Park Ski Shop is open during chalet hours for retail, rentals, and PSIA-certified ski school instruction. Call the Ski Shop at (715) 356-1099.

Leashed dogs are allowed on all snowshoeing trails and outside the chalet.
