4-H Youth Development Program of New Jersey
The 4-H Youth Development Program was born from argicultural roots, but today serves many more urban than rural youth (especially in NJ), in programs and project areas that span from animal science to rocketry and drama, to name a few. No matter the focus area, all 4-H Clubs and programs aim to develop leadership, citizenship, and life skills in youth K-13 (one year out of High School).
Part of the Rutgers Cooperative Extension system, 4-H Offices are located in each of NJ's counties. What's more, throughout the nation and American Territories,a 4-H Program is located in every county through all the state's Land Grant Universities (LGUs). 4-H is also present in nearly 80 countries throughout the world.
