The Montana Co-op is a consumer and producer owned cooperative not-for-profit dedicated to producing and consuming more local food and Montana made products. The Montana Co-op will be working closely with each consumer member to promote buying local and work with each producer to provide more to meet the high demand.
The Montana Co-op’s Mission is: Bringing together consumers and producers to create easy access to local, nutritious, and affordable food and Montana made products while promoting a sustainable, nurturing, and thriving community.
The Kids Co-op is a business owned, managed, and worked by the youth (up to age 25). Several product and service industries will operate in a cooperative business model under the Kids Co-op brand.

COOPERATIVE STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
As a community of cooperation, the Montana CO-OP wishes to create a sustainable network of producers and consumers in western Montana that will increase collaborative sales, marketing, distribution and awareness of locally grown agricultural and locally produced products.
Together, we will work towards solving our health, economic, and environmental issues. We know that our success is eminent and can be tracked by the number of jobs created, the underserved food deserts reached, healthier lifestyles of our members, and the money that is retained in the economy.
In addition, the Montana CO-OP strives to create and nurture relationships with farmers, local producers, small businesses, consumers, and other cooperative organizations. Our efforts will link the local supply to the local markets while engaging the producers and the consumers to work in harmony and promote certain core values including fair pay, sustainability, community, and health. The Montana CO-OP website will make it easier for members to access local, healthy food and Montana made products.
