The Muskegon River is the second longest river in Michigan at 220 miles long.
The Muskegon River Watershed is situated in west central Michigan and is over 2,700 square miles in size,larger than the state of Delaware!
The Muskegon River is unique in that it is a large cool-water system having both cold and warm water tributaries, supporting a variety of cold water, cool water, and warm water fish and other aquatic species.
The Muskegon River and its tributaries flow through major portions of nine counties and touch upon 3 additional counties.
