Neighbors Feed & Seed Supply Co. specializes in premium & grain free pet food, wild bird seed, non GMO seeds, garden plants & backyard chicken supplies.

The new owners of Neighbors Feed and Seed store are excited to continue the tradition of being the best place in Smyrna for specialty pet feed and gardening.

Our History
First known as Standard Feed and Seed, the store was located directly between the railroad tracks and Spring street on what is now a patch of grass. The Dobbins family bought the store in the 1950's and ran a booming business. A train derailment rattled more than their nerves (damaging the building too) and the Dobbins moved the business to it's current location on Roswell St in the 1970's. At it's height, 10 tons of feed passed through the doors of Dobbins Feed and Seed each week. The store also had a huge equine section, which was the perfect backdrop for the white, life size horse statue named "Dobbins" that remains on the premises today. In 1999, Ms. Dobbins sold the business to David & Beverly who opened as Backyard Feed and Seed. As the horse population dwindled in Smyrna, Beverly's love for wild birds began to fill the shelves. David and Beverly decided in 2015 it was time to retire.

Current Ownership
In August 2006 two fixer-upper houses on the same street in Smyrna were sold, one to a chiropractor from Wisconsin and the other to a Smyrna firefighter. Having completed more than several home improvement projects together and apparently running out of things to fix, the two and their families are combining their love of gardening and pets to run the aptly named Neighbors Feed and Seed Supply Co.

We will continue to carry the same great products for your gardens, chickens, cats, dogs and birdfeeders. We will also be bringing in new inventory focusing on local and organic.
