New Destiny Deaf Church was founded by Pastor Meloy Richmond and New Destiny Church of Richland, Mississippi in October 2009. It is located in the Jackson, Mississippi, metro area. All services are in American Sign Language.
Pastor Richmond teaches a Sunday School class on Sunday mornings at 10:00am. Deaf members often attend New Destiny's worship service at 11:00 am, which is interpreted by a sign language interpreter in ASL. An ASL interpreter is available for all services and events at New Destiny.
Pastor Richmond and his wife, Tressia, are both Deaf and are able to communicate fluently in sign language with Deaf members and visitors. They meet on Fridays at 7:00pm for Bible study and on the last Saturday of each month for Deaf Chat.
Pastor Richmond is honored to teach Bible classes to Deaf children at Mississippi School for the Deaf on Sunday and Wednesday evenings.
