Television & Film Production is not just a class at Newton North. It's an after-school club. Anyone can come by and make videos for our TV show, TigerTube.
Since the Advanced Television & Film Production class isn't scheduled until the second simester at Newton North, NNTV is cashing in on its club status to make up for lost class-time. You do not need to be in the TV & Film Production class in order to be in the club. The TV & Film Production Club meets every day after school in rooms 260 and 262. This is not a "meeting" club, this is a "doing stuff" club. If you make videos outside of school, you are more than welcome to submit them to our program. We produce a monthly magazine-format TV show called "Tiger Tube." Each episode is a half-our compilation of short student-made videos (2-8 minutes long.) Get your friends together and make a music video, a news piece, a parody of another show, a comedy sketch, an art film, a short drama, pretty much anything you can think of. We have our own TV studio (262) and we have shelves full of handheld HD cameras that you can sign out to make your videos. We also have a computer lab stocked with the most powerful computers in Newton North High School. Each one is equipped with professional-grade software for video editing, sound design, motion graphics, and special effects.
