Hi, my name is Angie Lawson Meudt and I have an addiction to beading. It has only been a few moments since my last bead. Okay, now it sounds like I need some real therapy...

On August 22, 2012, there was a long and grueling board meeting with the office executives (okay, so it was just me); regarding changing the name of my "shop". I decided to change my shop name to "Solace". For a little background as to why the name change and the purple butterfly... Solace = finding comfort in misery. Making jewelry brings me a lot of comfort and joy through the trials and tribulations that one often faces when they have lupus. I was diagnosed with SLE in January 1995. 10% of all sales will be donated to the Lupus Foundation of America (LFA).

As I work with many different materials and styles; I find myself wanting to know more about the materials I work with and how I can manipulate them. I continually research gemstones, gemology, geology, lapidary and vintage and historical jewelry.
