For the past 14 years, Northlake Academy of Music, Home of Tots N Tunes LLC, has offered the finest in music education to the Metro New Orleans area. We offer a variety of lessons year round for all ages, ranging from our Tunes Together Mommy & Me class, Tots N Tunes Preschool Music Program, Semi-Private Piano Lessons, Private Lessons for all ages in a myriad of instruments, Adult Group Violin Class and Adult Group Guitar Classes. Northlake Academy of Music also offers Pre-Choir and Choir.

Director Leslie Domingues is a New Orleans native who has resided on the Northshore for over 20 years. She holds degrees in special education and regular education and has taught piano for over 20 years. She is the recipient of the 2009 St. Tammany Professional Business Woman of the Year Award.

SMALL GROUP PIANO: Students ages 4 and up will learn to play the piano at their own pace through theory games, independent lesson books and positive teaching. Learning through using theory manipulatives, games and tangible items has proven to be successful at our academy of the last 14 years! Northlake Academy of Music's Small Group Piano class is the only program of its kind in the Greater New Orleans Area!

PRIVATE LESSONS: Northlake Academy of Music offers private music lessons in a variety of instruments, including piano, violin, guitar, voice, and drums. Lessons are available for children and adults, beginner and advanced musicians.Teachers at Northlake Academy of Music are well-qualified, engaging, and friendly. Under the enthusiastic guidance of director Leslie Domingues, they carry a high level of professionalism and love what they do. Lessons are 30 minutes in length and offered once-a-week at Northlake Academy of Music studios. Studios are soundproof, beautifully decorated, and feature glass doors.

ADULT CLASSES: Northlake Academy of Music offers adult group classes in violin and guitar! This wonderful class offers you a fun and comfortable way to learn to play with old and new friends! A supportive, friendly environment welcomes beginner and advanced musicians. Classes are offered weekly at our beautiful studios. Adult students participate in a year-end recital. Monthly violin rental is available at a very reasonable rate. Please call for more information.

TOTS-N-TUNES and TUNES TOGETHER: The seeds of Northlake Academy of Music were planted by the preschool music program, Tots N Tunes. Began by Leslie Domingues over 14 years ago, Tots N Tunes has educated and entertained thousands of children in the New Orleans Metro area and has grown into what we now know as Northlake Academy of Music. Tots N Tunes classes are offered for ages 2 and up and contain a special blend of live music, creative movement, music games, puppets, songs, stories, and much more! Each class is based on an exciting weekly theme that is explored through music and movement in a variety of ways. We also offer a Mommy & Me music class for ages 12-24 months: Tunes Together. Tunes Together offers the same kinds of fun activities for mother and child to share! Students receive a variety of percussion instruments to take home, as well as other surprises throughout the semester. Tots N Tunes is offered in the spring and fall for 12 week sessions and in the summer as a week-long camp. Each semester ends with a performance at a local auditorium. Students practice sign-language songs, choir bells and more to entertain and delight their friends and family. This event is not to be missed!
