NW Premier Soccer - (503) 957-3523

NW Premier Soccer is dedicated to improve the soccer skills and development of young players in Columbia County. We do this through group, 6 week sessions

About NW Premier Soccer:
US Youth Soccer recently released information about what it takes to build successful soccer programs in America.

Top of that list: getting kids involved at an early age in player-centered, fun, soccer!
Having children develop the motor and development skills they need at the 7-10 year old age range in soccer advances them exponentially above kids who wait until adolescence to learn them.

Fostering an environment where children ‘learn without knowing’ is paramount to their success and something we believe in completely.

The 12 session format your child has will be centered around their ball skills, and their individual development with a ball at their feet, constantly involved.

They will learn attacking, defending, tackling, heading, and positional play all within the confines of a multitude of games that allow them to develop at their own pace, where no-one gets left behind.

It’s their first important step towards being the high school star of the future!

About Simon:
Simon is very passionate about coaching soccer to kids. Growing up in England, playing soccer was all he ever did.

When he came to the US in 1993 it was to play soccer at Oregon State University where he lettered 4 years and captained the side as a junior and senior. After college he played in the CISL as a pro with the Portland Pride.

As he gravitated towards coaching his travels eventually brought him to Columbia County where he settled and dedicated himself to improving youth soccer locally.
He is the President of both the Scappoose Soccer Club, and the Oregon Premier Soccer League in Portland.

He is the new Director of Coaching for FC Columbia County which aims to elevate local youth soccer for the high schools.

In 2012 he was hired as the St Helens Girls Varsity coach where he led the Lady Lions to a 6 year best record of 7-5-2 in his first year.

Simon holds National Licenses in Coaching (D), National Director of Coaching, National Goalkeeping (I & II), refereeing (8) and is a certified personal trainer (ISSA).

These are soccer sessions, indoors given to 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders at St Helens high school.
