Some of our current projects include a staffing company, a free college, aid and promotion of local small businesses, direct action to fight unwarranted foreclosure, prevention of fracking and injection well disposal, and more.
Why Do We Occupy:
We are sick of a money-controlled government. We are tired of a broken system wherein only the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. This is not a free country anymore.
We are getting closer and closer to becoming a police state. The politicians have failed us. The government has lost its way. The government is no longer For the people, By the people; it has become For the Money, By the Rich. We are here to protest this.
The people in power on both sides of the aisle do what they can to dis-empower us. Today we will show them that we are not as powerless as they expect us to be.
We have risen. We have numbers. We are 99% of the American population. We are the ones left behind. To work. To struggle. To fight and die in their petty material and money- fueled wars. We will take this no more. We will follow suit with our brothers and sisters around the United States of America and across Earth and peacefully rise up and protest.
What do we want? What do we expect to come out of this? We stand for a civil unification against the individuals who have corrupted this government. Some people have said that we are forming a new way of thinking for this government. This is our chance to show Wall Street and our government that we do have a voice and it’s louder than the money changers'. We may not have another chance like this to change our government for the better.
Join us. Make your voice heard.
