Meet the Crafter..
Hello there and thanks for visiting our site! Old Glory Candle Company is a business born from the love of candles. My name is Sonya and I have always loved candles and became interested in making my own candles after being dissatisfied with nationally known scented candle brands I had purchased. The scents never lasted; the wicks burned improperly and they were just plain expensive! So, let’s see I’m a mom of 4 wonderful kids and also the wife of Michael, a US Army veteran who was injured during his Operation Iraqi Freedom deployment in 2003. After many surgeries he remains disabled, so my role as mom increased to caregiver for him as well. He is an integral part of Old Glory Candle Company, pretty much his title is “Jack of all trades”. One of his biggest assets is the gift of gab, which we all know word of mouth is the best advertising! (haha) In all seriousness, I'm grateful he made this dream of mine possible!

A little history..
I started making candles in 2005, I used straight paraffin wax which was successful, but after a little over a year life intervened and I had to take a break from candle making. I missed it so much and continued researching candle manufacturing over the years. In February of 2013 I found myself able to get back into candles and decided to give soy wax a try. After much testing, I have created a signature soy blend I am very proud of! It throws great and burns evenly and cleanly. My goal for Old Glory Candle is simple; I strive to make candle lovers happy, particularly my customers. I see our candles and melts as works of art. They stand out among all the other mass-produced candles. They’re each handcrafted, have the best quality scents, and are checked for quality before they are even considered available for sale. Our current customers say our candles and melts are the best, but don't just take my word for it, you can see for yourself.. Give my products a try you will be glad you did!
