Online Auction to Benefit Saint Cloud's Rescue - (469) 952-3332

A 5-week long auction to help raise funds for the Saint Bernards & other giant breed dogs of Saint Cloud's Rescue in McKinney, Texas. 9/29/13-11/3/13.

St. Cloud's Rescue is a 501c-3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing care and adoption services for Saint Bernards and other large breed dogs. Our animals are not "for sale", nor do you "buy" them. Our animals are not merchandise; they are living beings entrusted to our care. They are available to be adopted for a donation. Before they leave our care all dogs are vaccinated, spayed/neutered and on all appropriate heartworm, tick, flea medications. We also do house checks of the potential adopters, check veterinary and personal references and do introductions at a neutral area to any other animals living in the new home.
St. Cloud’s Rescue is operated and run by Rosemary Adkins Cloud. She and her husband, Chuck takes care of all the rescued dogs, cows, steer and donkeys on 10 acres in McKinney. St Cloud’s operates without the benefit of foster homes. All the dogs live on the premises in air conditioned rooms. We house 40-50 dogs at a time. We have 2 part time employees and have 4 volunteers.
We rescue as many Saints as we can properly take care of from kill shelters in Texas, Oklahoma Louisiana and even as far away as Alabama and Georgia. We also take surrendered Saints so they do not end up in kill shelters. Our mission is to save as many of these magnificent Saints as we possibly can.
Each of these dogs has a special story. What they all have in common is that they have been abandoned to fend for themselves by the very people who promised to take care of them. We have dogs of all ages and sizes. We have been rescuing dogs since 2003 and we have re homed over 454 dogs. We mainly work with large breed dogs, but we have also saved many small dogs that have been on death row. We have also worked with the Human Society of America in puppy mill raids in Texas.
We pride ourselves on placing dogs in special need homes with children with autism or downs syndrome. Our saints are so gentle they make a wonderful friend and helper for these families. We have also sent one of our saints for a pilot program for the Colorado Correctional Department in teaching inmates how to train dogs to be useful in homes with special need family members.

AUCTION TO BENEFIT SAINT CLOUD'S RESCUE~~~TERMS:


In order for the SAINT CLOUD'S RESCUE auction to be successful, we need volunteers to DONATE new or gently used items to be auctioned. The items donated can be either dog-themed or any other theme, but they must be in new or very good condition!

AUCTION DATES: Auction bidding will begin on September 29, 2013 at 12 noon/Eastern Time (USA). The auction will end on November 3, 2013 at 12 noon/ Eastern Time (USA).

DONATION DATES: Donations of auction items can be made before the auction starts, & also at any time during the entire course of the auction!

DONATING ITEM(S):
Each item up for auction will have a photo of it placed into a photo album on this page. That photo album will be entitled SAINT CLOUD'S RESCUE AUCTION: BIDS GO IN THIS ALBUM ONLY. If you wish to donate an item to the auction, please send a private message to me (Robbin Lee Sneddon) here on Facebook, showing a photo of the item, a brief description of the item, & what you would suggest for a starting bid. Also please indicate that the item is for SAINT CLOUD'S RESCUE AUCTION, & whether you will donate the shipping cost in order to further benefit the darling dogs of Saint Cloud's Rescue.

BIDDING ON AUCTION ITEMS:
Each item up for bid will have a photo of it in the photo album: SAINT CLOUD'S RESCUE AUCTION: BIDS GO IN THIS ALBUM ONLY. Bidding will be done by posting a comment with your bid on that item’s photo comment section. Certain items may have more than one photo shown, in order to give a better display of the item; in this case, the photo which is to be used for bidding comments will be labelled ****BIDDING PHOTO***** Bids placed on “non-bidding” photos will be ignored. Bids placed anywhere other than the bidding photo album, will also be ignored.

PAYING FOR YOUR WINNING BID’S ITEM:
At the end of the auction on November 3, 2013, if you know what item(s) you won, you may send the amount via Paypal or Money Order (see directions below).

If winning bidders do not pay on their own, Robbin or Kerry Sneddon will contact the winning bidder of each item within 2 weeks after bidding ends, to let them know how much money they owe for items they won. Payment is expected within 2 weeks of when each winner is notified. If no payment is received by the end of that period, then the second highest bidder of the item(s) will be contacted & given the opportunity to pay for the item.

ONLY PAYPAL OR MONEY ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR PAYMENT OF WINNING BIDS. NO PERSONAL CHECKS. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.

If you do not have Paypal, it is free to sign up for it at paypal.com. Do not bid unless you know you can pay with Paypal or a money order.

When sending the money via Paypal, you will be prompted to either select "paying for goods or services" or "sending money to family or friends".
It will work best if you choose "SENDING MONEY TO FAMILY OR FRIENDS". Also, in the area designated for comment/note, please tell which item(s) you are paying for, and PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR MAILING ADDRESS.

SHIPPING OF AUCTION ITEMS:
Each person who donates an item for auction will be responsible for sending the item to the winning bidder, after the winning bidder has paid at the end of the auction. As the payment for each item is received in Saint Cloud's Paypal account, Robbin or Kerry Sneddon will notify the donor of that item to ship the item to the winning bidder; the winning bidder's address will be given to the donor as well. The donor is asked to please include Delivery Confirmation or provide a Tracking Number on the item and then contact me with the number and shipping charges. The costs of shipping will then be returned to the donor, unless the donor has stipulated in the item's auction description that the shipping was free of charge or donated by the donor.
