My husband Benjy and I got the idea for Oxford Flea after traveling around to other cities looking for unique items in thrift shops and flea markets. Watching various shows on television featuring outdoor flea markets made us want to plan day trips to go find outdoor markets. Then we thought, "Why doesn't Oxford have something like this?" So we decided to start it ourselves!

Wondering what qualifies us for such a venture? Benjy has been part of the auction circuit since before I ever met him, so he knows a thing or two about scouting for interesting items--and ready vendors. As for me, I've been running EatingOxford.com for the past five years, a favorite Oxford-themed website. I've always got my eyes peeled for what Oxford locals want. When I'm not busy with Eating Oxford, I've got a passion for collecting and researching unusual thrift shop finds; some of which I'm not ready to let go of yet--Benjy can attest to that.
