Outdoor Education, Science, Leadership & Extension Programs

Pali Institute is a rigorous, fast-paced and fun program that constantly strives to develop exciting outdoor curriculum for students in grades 4-12th. Our instructors teach different students every week in a variety of classes within the disciplines of science, outdoor education and leadership training courses. Pali strives to be an excellent educational supplement to classroom-based education and is proud to meet many California, Nevada & Arizona State Standards with our science curriculum. We discuss a broad array of topics from geology and engineering, forest ecology and outdoor cooking. With California’s seismic history in mind, we test the strength of student's engineered bridges. We look for macro- and micro-invertebrates as we teach freshwater biology at our pond. Students also learn about aerodynamic principles as they build and launch rockets around property. We utilize an ever-growing low ropes course, two high ropes courses and our Quad-Zip Lines to foster and encourage personal and social growth in our students.
