The church of Christ is a non-denominational body of believers in Jesus Christ. We strive to live by the teachings of Christ as seen in the New Testament.
The church of Christ is a non-denominational body of believers in Jesus Christ. Each individual church of Christ congregation is self-ruled and independent of other congregations. Each congregation is led by elders selected from among the male members.
The church of Christ strives to live by the teachings of Christ as seen in the New Testament. This leads our worship service to be a little different from many churches. One of the first things you will notice is that we do not use instruments when we sing, and this is because there is no Biblical mention of instrumental music in the first century church.
We believe in observing the Lord's Supper (communion) on a weekly basis, as it can be found in Acts 20:7 . We also believe that in order for one to achieve salvation, that is going to Heaven, you must be baptized into Christ. The Biblical demands for baptism can be found in Mark 16:16, John 3:5, Acts 2:38, Acts 22:16, I Peter 3:21.
