South Boston Big Sib (SBBS) is a mentoring program through the Phillips Brooks House Association (PBHA).
We serve residents of the Mary Ellen McCormack and D-Street housing developments in South Boston by matching young people with college-aged mentors, who commit to meeting with their mentees weekly and supporting their mentees throughout their college career.
We are partners in the community, working with the PBHA Southie Committee to provide year-round cradle-to-college support for young people of South Boston and their families. Committee organizes Community Advisory Board (CAB) twice a year to set goals with the members of the community and other community partners to provide streamlined, effective support.
Committee Members include:
South Boston Outreach Summer (SBOS)
Southie Afterschool (SAS)
Kids with Special Needs Achievement Program (KNSAP)
