Person County Emergency Services
Person County Emergency Services consists of three public service departments. These departments inlcude 911 Communications, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and Emergency Management (EM). Communications is staffed by a group of professionals certified as Emergency Medical Dispatchers (EMD). These EMD professionals are trained in providing medical instruction prior to the arrival of EMS and obatin valuable information for the responding units. EMS is staffed by dedicated personnel who are trained in the art of advanced life support. They respond to medical and trauma related 911 calls. EM responds to all natural and man-made disasters in the county. The primary responsibilites include disaster mitigation, prepardeness, response, and recovery. These individuals are dedicated to serving the citizens of Person County.
