Pharr Aquatic Center. Is a new and beautiful South Texas attraction that is enjoyed by residents of Pharr and surrounding cities in the Rio Grande Valley.
The Pharr Aquatic Center consists of a fan shaped, 6,800 square foot leisure pool, which enters from a zero depth beach area that wades into 3’ 1/2”. On the shallow end, stands a water playstructure that features three children’s slides, geysers, water sprayers, misters, spray fans, two giant splash buckets, and ornamental palm tree sprayers. The pool has a 150’ body slide next to a 150’ tube slide that splash into the deep end of the pool. Available to the public is a lazy river that consists of a 200’ raft slide that spills into a 360’ linear foot, 8’ wide meandering river. Children and adults slide down in water tubes that float along the river, or line up to slide down again.
Other park amenities include a children’s pool that is 30’0” in diameter, and it features geysers and a baby slide. For the children’s safety, this pool is covered with a shade structure to provide cover from the sun’s rays. Also, the center features a Natatorium that encloses a 25 yard X 25 meter, 10 lane competition pool.
