Pickens High School
Established in 1957 and relocated in 1998, Pickens High School is the only high school in the Pickens County School system. The beautiful mountain valley campus is nestled on 139 acres and consists of over 220,000 square feet of facilities. Through rigorous instruction in language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies students discover their academic potential. Students are able to develop their creativity and self-expression through the various fine arts programs at PHS. The Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) department provides opportunities to learn skills from many fields such as engineering, business, healthcare science, video production, construction, culinary arts, family and consumer science, and agriculture. Students are encouraged to become actively involved in the more than 20 clubs and organizations offered at PHS. As the home of the Dragons and Dragonettes, students can fiercely compete on a variety of teams including football, basket-ball, softball, tennis and many other sports. Through all of the opportunities available at PHS, students are Pursuing Higher Standards.
