Pineapple Racing is one of the oldest and most respected custom engine builders specializing in Rotary Engines. We have been around in one manner or another for over 20 years and are still going strong. Pineapple Racing is technically two businesses. The first, Powered by Pineapple Racing, is the custom engine rebuilder while the second, Pineapple Racing, Inc., is the stock and performance parts retailer/manufacturer. Both businesses share the same facility and work hand-in-hand. In practice, the relationship is seamless, so for simplicity we refer to the companies collectively as Pineapple Racing.

Pineapple Racing is primarily known for quality craftsmanship and an unflinching standard 5 year materials and workmanship warrantee on engine rebuilds. We can do this because we do not compromise our engines with a lot of worn-out used parts. We expect our engines to last as long as the original engines, if not longer. This philosophy is carried over into our parts business, where we offer only the highest quality parts and give you the best customer service we know how.

While we are rightfully known for our rotary engine work, we also do extensive piston engine work as well. Anything Mazda, of course, but also Subaru (you may have read about us in SubieSport Magazine), chevy, etc.

Rob "Pineapple" Golden is the Head Honcho and founder of Pineapple Racing. Rob has been working on rotary engines since the '70s, when he lived in Hawaii. The company name comes from the nickname bestowed upon him when he moved to San Jose, CA and worked as the foreman of a Mazda dealership service department. Rob, like so many old gear-heads, cut his teeth in dirt track and drag racing, but road racing and street performance is the bulk of his recent work. Rob's daily driver is a Rotary Engine Pickup (REPU).
