Rev Thomas Gibson rented the old Decker lumber store and started the church at Pinehurst. From there, they moved to the corner of 15th and Old Hwy 90 and started having church in a tent. Eventually they moved to a piece of land that they bought on 40th street, which is our current location. It was not until about 1960 that the building was completely finished. In 1963, Rev Eldon Reeves became pastor for about five years, and was followed by Rev E L Thornton, who pastored for about four years.
