The Pineville Police Department is one of the most progressive police departments in the State of Louisiana. To apply for Police Officer with the City of Pineville all applicants must have a valid police officer test score from the Municipal Fire and Police Civil Service System. The office of the State Examiners website, www.ose.louisiana.gov , has all of the information needed to take an examination.

Once you have taken the test and received a letter from the Civil Service Board of your passing grade, then you may submit this confirmation letter along with an application to the Pineville Fire and Police Civil Service Board, P.O. Box 3940 Pineville, LA 71361. All applications submitted must have copies of the following attached: Birth Certificate, High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma, Driver's License, and Social Security Card. Once the letter is received and accepted then your name will be placed on the eligibility list for Police Officer for 18 months from the date of test.
