Pinson Historical Society

preserve our history and honor our past generations /ancestors

We are a group of people who are interested in learning and preserving our history while honoring those who came before us and struggled to establish the quaint little community we call home. In the past year, we have been instrumental in in getting the burial place of an American Revolutionary War Soldier recognized by the Sons of the American Revolution; and in placing 3 other cemeteries on the Alabama Historical Commission's historical cemetery register. We have also participated in the Butterbean Festival, City Fest, Pinson's Christmas Parade, and the Rock School Reunion. We meet the first Tuesday of each month at the Community Center (old Civitan building) on Dry Creek Lane at 6:00 PM and welcome everyone who shares our interest and goals.
