A School of One
Pioneer Central School District is one of the largest geographical school districts in New York State. Covering approximately 250 sq miles Pioneer Schools includes parts of Erie, Wyoming, Cattaraugus and Allegany counties and 12 different towns and villages including Arcade, Delevan, Machias, Freedom, Bliss and Wethersfield.
In keeping with the Pioneer tradition of academic excellence, faculty, staff and students continue to work diligently and collaboratively in meeting the academic needs of all students.
In order to earn a Regent's diploma, students are required to pass five Regent's examinations in English, Math, Global History, US History and a Regent's Science exam. Students must also complete 22 units of credits, three (3) units in both Math and Science.
Our students continue to excel. In addition to the diverse course offerings at the high school, students can participate in Advance Placement (AP) courses, advanced studies college credit courses, clubs, sports and extra curricular activities. We encourage your child to get involved in one or more of the many wonderful opportunities available at Pioneer.
