Poder Latin@ is an organization founded to address the needs and concerns of Vassar's Latin@ community and to serve as a support group.
Poder Latin@ is an organization founded to address the needs and concerns of Vassar's Latin@ community and to serve as a support group. Its purpose is to promote communication and understanding between the members of Poder Latin@ and the other members of the Vassar community through forums, lectures, and other social events. It also serves to create a network between Poder Latin@ and other Latin@ communities, particularly in the local area, in order to provide strength and support in dealing with Latin@ issues. All members of the Vassar community are eligible to become members of Poder Latin@. Particular effort is made to recruit Vassar Latin@ students, for whom the group is founded. Full membership in Poder Latin@, as in any serious organization, is contingent upon regular attendance at meetings and other active forms of support.
