Located in Portage Indiana at woodland park right next to the Skate park. There is NO fee to use the Portage Dog park. This page is a community page for everyone who goes to the dog park so they can keep up to date with any changes that might be coming as well as events that we plan to have in the future! Lots of fun ideas are around the corner!!!
Directions to Woodland Park
From the West or East:
Take I 94 to exit #19. Travel south on Rt. 249 to Melton Road/Rt. 20. Turn right/west onto Melton Rd/Rt. 20 to the first traffic light. Turn left/south at the traffic light onto Willowcreek Road. Travel approx. 1/4 of a mile until you reach Woodland Park. The park entrance is on your right. The exhibit hall is in the Oakwood Grand Hall in the rear of the main building. Follow the road signs when you enter the park.
From the Toll Road:
Take the Portage Exit. At the first traffic light after the toll booth, turn right/north. Stay to the right and travel to the first stop sign. Turn left/west onto Portage Ave. Travel under the via-duct to the first stop sign. Turn right/north onto Willowcreek Rd. Travel approx. 1/10th of a mile. The entrance to Woodland Park is on the left side of the road. After you turn into the park turn right at the T in the road. Follow road signs to the Oakwood Grand Hall.
From Rt. 6:
From the east or the west, turn north onto Willowcreek Road. Take Willowcreek Road to Rt. 20/Melton Road and turn left/west at the traffic light. Take Rt. 20/Melton Rd. to the first traffic light and turn left/south onto Willowcreek Rd. Travel approx. 1/4 south and the Woodland Park entrance will be on the right side of the road. The exhibit hall is in the Oakwood Grand Hall in the rear of the main building. Follow the road signs when you enter the park.
