Puddle Jumpers of Sitka Alaska is a licensed Home based Childcare center that cares for a maximum of 8 Children ranging in ages from 0-10 years old.

Hello there! I am thrilled to announce that Puddle Jumpers Childcare will soon be open and ready to serve the wonderful people of Sitka such as yourself, for your child care needs!
Puddle Jumpers is a Licensed Home Based child care center for ages 0-10 years of age.

Id like to introduce myself if I may :)
My name is Jodi. I was born and raised right here on the rock in 1975!
I have been married to my wonderful ,hard working husband for 14 years!!!
I met my Husband Darin in Washington with the stipulation and contingency upon us getting married that someday we would move back to my hometown of Sitka...to which he agreed and rolled his eyes in amusement.
We have been here 12 years in July ;)

I have 4 children. My oldest two are 22yrs old and 20yrs old and live on their own :)

As close as I was to being an empty Nester, we enriched our lives with two more sweet youngins, ages 10 and 3.

If raising two teenagers didn't qualify me enough already ( lol) Id love to tell you more about my qualifications :)

I have been working as a child care provider for a good portion of my adult life. I was a licensed child care provider in Washington about 17 years ago. I have also run Home based child care right here in Sitka. Unlicensed at the time ( not mandatory for the state of Alaska)
I am a certified Homeshcool provider ( obtained in Washington as Alaska does not require this)
I have homeschooled all 3 of my children at some point in their lives.
I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant for 4 years. I previously worked in Obstetrics at SEARHC Hospital here in Sitka. Also for Center for Community ( still an employee but currently not working.....intermittent )
I am CPR and First Aid certified with Pediatrics.
I attend Education Classes geared in Early development as often as they are provided. As well as online web classes.

I cant express just how much I am thrilled to be serving my community again!
As a Parent myself, I know how how important it is to find a childcare that not only provides fun and care for your child but also a feel of home and comfort. A place they look forward to going each and everyday. It sure doesn't replace mom or dad and the comforts of their own home...but it can be a home away from home. And bonus? Playmates and a fun cheery environment!
We pride ourselves on keeping the environment bright and cheery....well lit ...especially on those gloomy Sitka days!! You will never come to Puddle Jumpers and feel gray ;)
