Non-Profit Youth Football League for kids grades 4th through 7th. Mandatory playing rules. Upgrades to safety equipment.

Rapid City Midget Football has been around for decades. Games will be played at Star of the West Softball Complex. They give kids 4th-7th grades, boys or girls, the opportunity to play tackle football and to improve their skill for higher levels. One of the great things about the league is that the teams can't be stacked and we try our hardest to put the teams together based on the schools the children are attending. RCMFA has mandatory playing rules so every child gets the chance to improve their skill and show people their talent. With 10+ board members they are constantly looking for ways to improve the game play, rules, and safety. In 2013 we purchased 100+ helmets and threw away old ones that weren't safe enough for any child to use. The entry fee is only $90 and that covers everything to play. The RCMFA has a close relationship with Dakota Sports where the kids can get player packs that include a practice jersey, socks, and gloves.
