ReadWest is a non-profit literacy agency providing one-to-one tutoring by trained certified volunteers, FREE OF CHARGE.
ReadWest provides free tutoring for adults in Basic Reading and English as a Second Language. Students meet one-to-one with trained volunteers once a week for two hours.
ReadWest recruits and trains adult volunteers to help adults improve their reading and writing abilities and to learn English as a Second Language. It is not necessary to to have teaching experience or speak a foreign language. The 18 hour training will teach you how to help your student reach their literacy goals. After training, you will be matched with a student and meet once a week for two hours. There is no charge for the tutor training.
