Red Roof Inn® was incorporated by founder James R. Trueman in 1972. The brand’s first hotel opened in Columbus, Ohio, with a single room rate of $8.50 in 1973. Just because you’re furry, shouldn’t mean you have to spend the night in the car. At The Roof®, we do whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable. That’s why we invite you to relax with your 4-legged family member in 36 states. And unlike other “pet friendly” hotels, there are no additional charges.

Red Roof’s Pet Policy:

-One well-behaved family pet is permitted unless
they are prohibited by state law or ordinance.
-Service animals are always welcome.
-Pet must be declared during guest registration.
-Please keep your pet on a leash (or in a carrier) when you are outside your room.
-In consideration of all Red Roof guests, a pet
must never be left unattended in the guestroom.
-When you walk your pet on property, please be considerate and clean up after your pet.

Due to state laws, ordinances, or contract provisions not all of our locations can accept pets. The following locations are not able to accept your pet, but service animals are always welcome: Oxon Hill, MD #181; Flushing, NY #727; and Pigeon Forge, TN #562. We apologize for any inconveniences.
