Relay For Life of Salinas is the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event. It is a 24-hour community event which celebrates the lives of cancer survivors, remembers those who have lost their lives to cancer and fights back again a disease which continues to take too much.
In the months prior to our event, teams of 10-15 people work to raise money for the American Cancer Society. This money and event proceeds allow the American Cancer Society to fund research, education, advocacy and services - many of them right here in our local community.
Each year, more than 3.5 million people in 5,000 communities in the United States, along with additional communities in 20 other countries, gather to take part in this global phenomenon and raise much-needed funds and awareness to save lives from cancer. Thanks to Relay participants, the American Cancer Society continues to save lives and create a world with more birthdays.
