Toyota TogetherGreen by Audubon Fellow, Miguel Berrios, has launched the Revitalizing the Fuertes Bird Sanctuary conservation project. Miguel, a board member of Friends of Stewart Park, is a local conservationist and landscape designer. This project will focus on forest management planning and community conservation activities in collaboration with multiple community partners. Activities throughout the spring, summer, and fall include work sessions with volunteer corps focused on invasive species removal & restoration of native plant communities, improving the trail network, & installation of interpretive signage throughout. A public information session will be held to introduce the public to the project while also aiming to recruit volunteers and / or project funding.
