If a person needs Durable Medical Equipment (DME) that is not covered by insurance, finds the cost prohibitive, or needs the equipment short term, a person may be able to get the needed equipment from a lending closet.
A lending closet accepts a variety of new and used medical equipment. Anyone needing equipment can contact the lending closets to check for availability.
There is no cost for the equipment and a doctor’s order is not needed. Items typically found in a lending closet include wheelchairs, cane, walkers, bath seats or benches, and bedside commodes. Sometime nutritional supplements and incontinence supplies may also be available.
Persons must pick up their own equipment. Delivery is not available.
