Piggybacking off the success of our previously Indian food-less friends in Waterville, Maine, this page is dedicated to bringing an Indian restaurant to the greater Rockland, Maine area.
This beautiful region of MidCoast Maine (which we will define here as the contiguous communities of Rockland, Rockport, and Camden) has what we believe to be the best dining scene in all of Maine outside of Portland, with numerous restaurants of national acclaim (including, but not limited to, a few James Beard awards). However, there has historically been one glaring omission - Indian food.
This entire region has experienced a food Renaissance of sorts in the last 10 years or so, and we feel like the time is now for an Indian restaurant to move in and make Midcoast Maine an even more renowned dining destination.
Finally, we the likers of this page, do hereby pledge to do all we can to advance the notion of bringing this much needed restaurant here. And to any prospective restaurateurs considering opening an establishment - please view our likes as a testament to that need.
