The Rockport Writers Group exists for the purpose of encouraging each other in the development of writing skills.
The Group meets twice a month on the first and third Saturday of the month, from 10 a.m. to noon. Meetings are held at the Aransas County Public Library, 701 E. Mimosa, Rockport, unless indicated otherwise.
The first Saturday meeting every month focuses on Group business, planning, and exercises or lessons in writing techniques. At the second, those members who wish bring four typewritten pages double-spaced of a piece of writing, which will be read and constructively critiqued by other members.
Exceptions: holidays such as Labor Day and the Fourth of July, and local festivities such as Oysterfest and Seafair, sometimes affect the schedule and/or the venue. Such changes will be announced on this page and by email.
